Jones, the butcher has humble beginnings. Our founder, Michael Jones, started his career as a cashier on London’s Smithfield Market in 1956. Being the ever-canny business man, he bought a van and started to deliver fresh meat to restaurants and butchers on his way home.

Since then we have expanded and developed from the back of a van. In 1962 we founded our base in Herne Hill. Three generations and five members of the Jones family have worked for the company over the years. Only two Jones’ remain at the helm, father and son, Andrew and Justin. We may see more Jones’ growing into the company in the future.

The team at Jones, the butcher specialise in supplying the finest quality meats, poultry, game and deli products from Great Britain and further afield. No products is out of our reach, we can source and supply any produce, just get in touch.

With Beef and Pork sourced from Norfolk, Lamb from Hampshire and Poultry from Yorkshire, we are proud to champion British growers and their amazing meats.
